Standing concerts – open seating within the Fondation Maeght’s Miró Labyrinth.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with a self-guided visit of the Ellsworth Kelly exhibition available before the concerts begin at 8:30 p.m.

Light refreshments and a bar will be available throughout the evening.

Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Gilles Peterson presents Impressions – two exceptional evenings of music celebrating jazz at the Fondation Maeght, on August 5 and 6, 2026.

“When Aimé and Marguerite Maeght founded the Fondation they had a vision to create a beautiful space for art and creativity to thrive and, in so doing, build a platform for artistic voices to develop and grow. Their open minded approach is very close to my heart as they focused on championing the creative spirit regardless of whether it was painting, sculpture or music and so many of the now masters in their fields got their start there.

In the late 60s and early 70s it hosted – alongside the leading lights of the European avant garde – some of the most forward thinking American Black Music without hesitation and with the full understanding of its importance as high art. Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Milford Graves and Albert Ayler stood shoulder to shoulder with Merce Cunningham, La Monte Young and Terry Riley nestled alongside works by Calder, Giacometti and Miró.

This year – our third for Impressions – we are fully embracing that founding spirit of the Fondation and focusing entirely on newer artists which you can read about below.

Momoko Gill

Long regarded as one of the UK’s best-kept secrets in jazz and electronic music, Momoko Gill is a self-taught drummer, producer, songwriter and vocalist. Having collaborated with artists including Alabaster DePlume, Matthew Herbert and Tirzah, she now steps forward with a deeply personal musical voice. Drawing on jazz, experimental music and electronica, her distinctive sound reflects a journey shaped by life between Japan, the United States and London.

Rogê

Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Rogê is one of Brazil’s most vibrant contemporary voices, blending samba, soul, funk, and MPB into a warm, groove-driven sound. Born in Rio de Janeiro and now based in Los Angeles, he has built a growing international audience through dynamic touring across North America and Europe.

His recent albums Curyman (2023) and Curyman II (2024), featuring legendary arranger Arthur Verocai, mark a defining new chapter in his career. In 2026, Rogê continues touring Curyman II, joins Verocai for special performances, appears at the Greek Theatre with Thee Sacred Souls, and performs at Grand Performances after receiving the City of Los Angeles COLA Artist Fellowship.

Known for his joyful, high-energy shows and soulful voice, Rogê carries the spirit of Brazilian music to audiences worldwide

Berlin-based DJ and curator Tereza navigates club culture through a strong sense of connection and flow. Rooted in hip hop and driven by wide-ranging musical curiosity, she blends house, soul, jazz and underground dance music into evolving, immersive sets. Guided by the energy of the dancefloor, she creates fluid musical journeys where grooves unfold naturally and every transition feels instinctive.
